Smoky Mountains

Last May we stayed in a cabin the Smoky Mountains near Gatlinburg, TN. We had a really great time, it was fun hiking to waterfalls and seeing a different part of the country. It was our first vacation as a family!

My Little Garden Gnome

Hudson just loves to dig in the dirt, eat pea gravel and other things with interesting texture, and be outside just in general. Whenever he is grouchy the easiest thing to do is just scoop him up and carry him outside. He also LOVES to play and swim in the lakes around here. He doesn't seem to mind at all that the water is sometimes pretty cold! (We'll only let him stay in until we see the first chatter of his jaw and then we get him out right away. I don't know how long he would stay in if we let him!) Hudson is just so much fun!

Big Laugh

This video was a month or two ago but I thought I'd put it up because who doesn't love to hear babies laugh! He thought it was funny to see me smash his train and cars, actually he still thinks it's pretty funny.

Big Change

Jimmy and I have decided that he's going to be using his GI bill to go back to school! His classes start on September 3rd and we are so excited! (Okay well I am a little more than he is!). It's really great because with the post 9/11 GI bill he can actually quit his job and go to school full time!

I feel bad for not posting for such a long time but our computer has been acting crazy and only occasionally works. The frustrating thing is that we already took it in to someone and they told us there was nothing wrong with it (but I am sure that spontaneously shutting down is not normal). Anyway, Hudson is doing so great, he's not just walking, he's RUNNING... and climbing everything! The poor guy has bumps, bruises, and scratches but it seems like nothing will slow him down! We have been working in the garden often and he loves to pick his own cherry tomatoes to eat.

I guess this is what you do when you're bored in Michigan.

This picture melts my heart!
